Fisherwick for Students

Fisherwick is in an excellent location for access by students, set right in the centre of Queens University Campus, next door to the Physics and Engineering Building, the Architecture Department and the Science Library.  More than 1,000 students walk past the church daily on their way from the halls of residence to the main university buildings.

Fisherwick’s ministry to students seeks to serve body, mind and soul.  For more information, contact

FREE LUNCHES are served every Thursday during term from 12.00 to 2.00pm.   Approximately 600-700 students from Queens and Stranmillis gather into the Church Halls for their lunch to enjoy the food. They receive a cup of the best soup in town, hotdogs, salads, fruit, biscuits, crisps and tea/coffee. It is quite a feast and all absolutely free.

It is a great way of spending a relaxing lunch hour (well 2 hours actually) and to meet existing and new friends. Everyone is very welcome.

The NET is an informal, student gathering for those who want to discuss and share what they believe. Whether you are exploring the Christian faith or a long-time Christian, come along as we explore what we believe and why we believe it.  It is an opportunity to make good friends and grow in your faith over tea and biscuits. The Net meet on Tuesday evenings in the parlour room at the church during term at 8.00pm.

Sunday Night Live – SNL –  is a contemporary service that starts at 7.00pm, on Sunday, held in the Church.

Tea and coffee are served from 6.45pm.  The service is open to all ages.

You’ll find a link to the current teaching series on the home page.

INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS – in Belfast there are over 2000 overseas students from every country in the world. When they arrive in Belfast they face separation from family and friends and the challenge of living in a strange country with a new language and culture to adapt to. The vision of Fisherwick is that every international student would have a Christian friend. For information on how to be part of the student “family” in Fisherwick, please contact Everyone is welcome.
