Christian Education

Fisherwick seeks to offer a full range of programmes and occasional courses to equip Christians for today's world. All courses are open to members and non members alike and we welcome participation from all denominations and none.

Discipleship

For details of the current and future programmes contact: 028 90 666683 or email office@fisherwick.net

A part time discipleship course is run each year September-June. Participants meet fortnightly (currently Wednesday evenings) for a meal, teaching, and practical discovery in the whole areas of Christian Discipleship. The group studies Genesis, Mark, 1 Corinthians and Philippians along with provided study notes. Members participate in prayer triplets and become involved in service to the church. Members of the group are of all ages and not exclusively members of Fisherwick and their service may well be offered through other congregations.

Prayer Ministry Training

A fortnightly six session course on 'How to pray for others healing' is run annually from November to February. The course deals with all the issues raised by Prayer Ministry, biblically, theologically and practically. Each evening includes practical sessions and participants will be expected to be willing to learn to pray for others and to receive prayer themselves.

The course is a prerequisite for inclusion on the Prayer Ministry Team but attendance at and completion of the course does not imply that an invitation to join the team in Fisherwick or elsewhere will necessarily follow. Such decisions are at the discretion of the local church leaderships in accordance with the gifting of each person.

The course is open to members of all churches but the approval of your local church leadership for your participation is required.
